HVAC sales training is valuable for your team, but is your sales team really equipped to sell? Do they know everything about the products? Do they have the personality for sales?
Here are a few suggestions to build your internal team to be their personal best:
1. Personality: Does your team have the personality qualifications of a positive and profitable unit? Ask these questions:
- Is my team inviting?
- Is my team outgoing?
- Are they likeable?
- Are they personable?
If you find yourself answering no to any of these questions, it's time to re-evaluate your recruitment.
2. Training: Let your staff take the day off - to go to school that is! Product, sales, and personal development training are all areas of business that can be improved. Taking the extra time out to re-engage your team in a positive learning atmosphere can put a little pep in their step as well as give you a leg up on the competition.
3. Practice makes perfect: Try mock sales pitches and customer/technician role-playing exercises to get your techs more comfortable in their day-to-day practices. A little time in-office could mean big time rewards from customer service reviews.
